Generating Loving Kindness (metta)

The practice of metta (loving kindness) came into my life earlier in 2022 when a colleague (Sandra) invited me to attend an online mindfulness class she was offering on Friday afternoons during the month of March. It was completely new to me; I couldn’t even figure out how to spell it until another colleague gave me the full backstory on the practice and how powerful it can be for group and individual meditation and mindfulness practice.

There is a standard set of phrases in Buddhist practice that are part of metta practice, and what I loved about Sandra’s class was that she invited us to put the practice to own words, and that’s what you will find in the 1-minute metta video I share here.
